Tallon & Associates, Plant & Equipment / Business Asset Valuers and Auctioneers, a specialist consultancy company offering a quality-focused approach to Plant & Equipment Valuation and Disposal Advice to a range of corporate clients including Accountants, Banks, Finance Companies, Professional Advisors and Private Clients.

We are seeking an enthusiastic school, college or university leaver to join as a trainee Machinery & Business Asset Valuer / Surveyor. The successful candidate must be hard working, have excellent organisational abilities to be able to balance different tasks to ensure deadlines are met, have strong communication skills, a good working knowledge of Microsoft software, be confident to work independently and as part of a team. A full driving license would be an advantage however not essential in the early stages.

Initially (whilst learning/training) the role will be assisting fellow valuers as required, whilst also assisting with general office duties including answering the phone, e-mailing clients and general administrative duties.

Development will see the role progress to include:

• Corresponding with clients

• Assisting with asset / plant & machinery inspections / site surveys

• Assisting with the preparation of professional valuation reports

• Collating and analysing comparable evidence

• Assisting with the sale of assets including preparation, photographing, advertising & marketing

• Managing general case progression

Based at our Manchester office, the candidate must be flexible and be prepared to travel throughout the UK as required to undertake inspections (as the role progresses)

Ongoing training will be provided and for the right candidate, career progression can lead to becoming a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
